#sixfanartschallenge

A few weeks ago I joined to the #sixfanartschallenge . I asked to my followers on Instagram what would did they want me to draw, and these were the suggestions:

Hace unas semanas atrás me sumé al #sixfanartschallenge. Pregunté por instagram qué les gustaría que dibujara y estas fueron las sugerencias:

So I decided to make one character per week and I got down to work. This was the final result:

Así que decidí a hacer un personaje por semana y me puse manos a la obra. Este fue el resultado final:

Some things I noticed when doing this challenge were that:

Algunas cosas que noté al hacer este desafío fueron que:

- It allowed me to explore and compare various characters within the same composition.

- Me permitió explorar y comparar personajes variados dentro de una misma composición.

- It is a good exercise to practice combinations of color palettes.

- Es un buen ejercicio para practicar combinaciones de paletas de colores.

- Seen from the point of view of design: it was interesting to develop it as if it were the construction of a system. In other words: how to make these six seemingly different characters work together and look similar or recognize themselves as part of the same family or style.

- Visto desde el punto de vista del diseño: fue interesante desarrollarlo como si fuera la construcción de un sistema. En otras palabras: el cómo hacer para que estos seis personajes aparentemente distintos trabajen en conjunto y luzcan similares o se reconozcan como parte de una misma familia o estilo.

Facing the challenge was revitalizing. Illustrate characters that I love very much, like Lizzy, Darcy or Toph; that bring back memories of another time in my life like Alucard and Sailor Urano; or that they bring something new to my day like Perla and Mary Poppins, make me want to continue drawing.

Cumplir con el desafío fue revitalizante. Ilustrar personajes a los que quiero mucho, como Lizzy, Darcy o Toph; que me traen recuerdos de otra época de mi vida como Alucard y Sailor Urano; o que aportan algo nuevo a mi día como Perla y Mary Poppins, me llenó de ganas de seguir dibujando.
