Hola amigos! Hoy voy a mostrarles el proceso paso a paso de esta ilustración que hice inspirada en la novela "De las cenizas volverás" de Ray Bradbury.
1. Sketching idea

2. Scaned and printed in real size.

4. As the lines of the sketch did not remain clean, what I did next was to superimpose a blank paper on the sketch to re-trace the lines, but this time more neatly.
Ahem ... What do you think of my "light table"? Rudimentary but effective!
4. Como las líneas del boceto no me quedaron limpias, lo que hice luego fue superponer un papel en blanco al del boceto para volver a calcar las líneas, pero esta vez más prolijamente.
Ejem... ¿Qué les parece mi "mesa de luz"? Rudimentaria pero eficaz!
5. This is how look the clean lines.
5. Así quedaron las líneas en limpio.
6. I traced the lines on a special paper for watercolors and secured the sheet to a board with mask tape.
6. Calqué las líneas en un papel especial para acuarelas y aseguré la hoja a un tablero con cinta de pintor.
7. Before I started painting I did color tests.
7. Antes de empezar a pintar realicé pruebas de color.
8. Ups.. no me gustó como se mezclaron los colores, además estaba quedando muy desprolijo. Entonces volví a empezar.
9. That's better... so much better.
9. Así está mejor... mucho mejor.
